From November 1994 to May 1997, he was a post-doctoral research fellow in Beijing Institute of Technology, China. From April 2001 to Octo- ber 2001, he studied mechatronic systems mod- eling by bond graphs as a visiting scholar at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Michigan State University.
