Data,information,knowledge and intelligence are the 4 basic concepts in information science.Discussion on these 4 concepts themselves and their interrelationships has been on of the hot topics of research in information science.Based on the detailed analysis of the specific cases,this paper draws the following conclusions： first,intelligence comes from information rather than from knowledge;second,knowledge support is necessary both from data to information and from information to intelligence,knowledge runs through the whole transformation process.
