More than eighty published patent applications and fifty authorized patents related to gel paste were retrieved from the patent databases of State Intellectual Property Office of the People＇s Republic of China.They were categorized into 18 classes of gynaecology,nourishing kidney and reducing tiredness,mammary diseases,hepatocirrhosis ascites,detection methods,hypoglycemic agents,thyroid diseases,cardiovascular diseases,respiratory diseases,gastrointestinal diseases,anorectal diseases,Alzheimer＇s disease,depression,antimicrobial peptides,analgesia and traumatic injury,manufacture methods,reforms of formulation,and patents of utility models with respect to their purposes.With special emphases on the authorized patents,these patent applications were summarized and analyzed with the aim of furnishing more plentiful information and critical suggestions on relative ongoing RD projects concerned on gel paste.
