Based on the fact that gridding is an indispensable stage of accurately identifying the location of each spot while extracting spot intensities from the microarray images, this paper realizes a hill-climbing based automatic gridding algorithm for cDNA microarray images. The experimental result of testing the cDNA microarray images shows that the calculation model can effectively detect the grids on cDNA microarray images.
