A novel,recoverable C3-symmetric dendritic small molecular ligand( L1) containing BINOL has been synthesized to conduct the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to aromatic aldehydes. The optically active s econdaryalcohols were obtained with up to 91% ee and up to 99% yield. After the reaction was finished,the dendritic ligand L1 was recovered with a high yield by simple extraction and washing process. The recycled dendritic ligand was reused for five times without loss of catalytic activity as well as enantioselectivity.
