研究了一种二极管激光器泵浦的高光束质量的Tm,Ho:YAP激光器。选用中心输出波长为793.6 nm的二极管激光器作为泵浦源;c轴切割的Tm,Ho∶YAP晶体作为激光晶体,激光晶体中Tm^3+掺杂浓度为5 at.%、Ho^3+掺杂浓度为0.5 at.%,且采用液氮对激光增益介质进行制冷。在实验中,改变激光器的谐振腔参数及泵浦参数,Tm,Ho:YAP激光器获得了13.1 W的输出功率,相应的斜率效率和光光转换效率分别为40.9%和38.4%,输出波长为2 044 nm;选用刀口法对Tm,Ho:YAP激光器的光束质量进行了测量,获得激光光束质量的M^2≈1.1。
A high beam quality Tm,Ho:YAP laser pumped by the diode laser is reported.The diode laser with the center wavelength of 793.6 nm is chosen as the pumping source.Moreover,a c-cut Tm,Ho:YAP crystal is used as the laser crystal,and 5 at.% Tm^3+ and 0.5 at.% Ho^3+ are co-doped in the laser crystal.The liquid nitrogen is used to cool the laser crystal.The parameters of the resonant cavity and the pumping are changed,a 13.1 W output power will be acquired from the Tm,Ho:YAP laser.In addition,the corresponding slope efficiency and the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of the Tm,Ho:YAP laser are 40.9% and 38.4% respectively.The output wavelength of the Tm,Ho:YAP laser is2 044 nm.The beam quality M^2≈1.1 is obtained from the Tm,Ho:YAP laser by knife-edge method.
