Recent advances in molecularly imprinted polymers （MIPs） as solid phase adsor- bents for chromatographic sample pretreatments are summarized, including solid phase extraction, matrix solid phase dispersion extraction, solid phase microextraction, stir bar sorptive extraction and magnetic material extraction. A number of challenges and possibly effective strategies are discussed. And some perspectives of MIPs based extraction in chromatography are also proposed.
