本文导出了共振模光学传感器灵敏度的统一公式,研究表明:统一的解析公式物理意义非常清晰,公式表明提高该类传感器灵敏度的两项主要措施分别为增大样品区域的光功率以及采用超高阶导模为探针。通过数值模拟比较了表面等离子共振、长程表面等离子共振和液芯金属包覆波导传感器的灵敏度,计算表明液芯金属包覆波导的灵敏度至少高出长程等离子共振波导1个量级以上。实验上对大肠杆菌低浓度的探测极限可以达到100 cfum L^-1,理论与实验吻合的较好。
Theoretical analysis for surface plasmon resonance, long-rang surface plasmon resonance and guided wave resonance sensor is presented in this paper. Theoretical formula of the sensitivity for these sensors is given in a unified form. It is shown that there are two ways to enhance the sensitivity. One is that the sample should be placed in the area with high-power density. Another is that the effective refractive index of the mode which serves as the sensor probe should be as small as possible. Based on above analysis, the numerical comparison showes that sensitivity of the liquid core metal cladding waveguide sensor is larger two order than that of the evanescent field sensor. The experimental result is agreed with the theoretical formula.
