At present, the theory studied on the life cycle of water resource is still a gap. This paper discussed the concept, characteristics and classification of the life cycle of water resource, and analyzed the flow of the body and value in the life cycle of water resource. Finally, the prospect of applying the life cycle of water resource was put forward.
