The interpretation of ACRL ＂2016 top trends in academic libraries＂ provides a useful reference for observing and thinking about the development of university library. A comparative analysis of the four reports from 2010-2016 was made and then an interpretation of the 2016 version of the report was provided. It is proposed to promote the sharing of scientific data services, the construction of digital library academic center, the independent development of the next generation integrated library managing system, the development of research data librarians and other emerging standards, and the construction of educational resources.
