Semi-prime rings are studied and center elements of the commutative semi-prime rings by using normal element, commutator and other related knowledge. Two results are given on commutativity of semi-prime rings are proved when R is a semi-prime ring,a ∈ R,2ma is a normal element,which extends some known conclusions.
