The effect of 6 different concentrations of 6-BA culture media and 2 different incubating conditions on callus induction of Dendrobium candidum was conducted. The result indicated that the optimal inducing medium was 1/2 MS ＋ 0.5 mg/L 6-BA ＋ 0.2 mg/L NAA ＋ 2.5 mg/L 2,4-D ＋ 20.0 g/L sucrose ＋ 200.0 g/L potatoes mud ＋ 2.0 g/L active carbon ＋ 10.0 g/L agar. The best incubation condition was keeping 15 days in dark and then incubating under light.
