We present a simple scheme for teleporting an unknown atomic state using an atomic Bell state in cavity QED system. Our scheme can use single-atom detection instead of Bell-state measurement with the help of an auxiliary atom, and its successful probability can reach 1. In addition, the scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and the thermal field.
