An earthquake with MS6.8 occurred on October 5,2008 in the Wuqia,Xinjiang.The macroseismic epicenter surveyed is situated in the Nula village of kyrgyistan,7km away southwest of Wuqia Yirkeshitan port in Xinjiang.The epicenter intensity is Ⅷ degree（outside borders）.The areas of Zones Ⅶ and Ⅵ are 7354km^2 and 1031km^2 respectively.This seismic event is relative with the movements of the Kzikeaerkate fault belt trending NE direction.The buildings in the areas are damaged or affected by this earthquake,accompanied with some phenomena of geology disaster.
