Taking the coil windings of a cylindrical magneto-rheological clutch as the study objective, the paper applied ANSYS to simulate and analyzed the magnetic circuit of single-stage windings, dual-stage homodromous windings, dual-stage heterodromous windings and dual-stage homodromous windings with magnetic isolating ring adding at the center of the cylinder in the clutch. In addition, it analyzed the influence of windings type on output torque of the clutch.
