The SERS spectra of Escherichia coli was obtained on colloidal Ag nanoparticles prepared by the microwave method. E. coli have obvious Raman vibrating peaks in 650, 952,1125,1242,1320,1372,1459 cm-1. Among theSERS spectrum of E. coli, the vibra- ting peaks at 650 cm-1 is strongest, four vibrating peaks of 1124, 1320, 1372 and 1459 cm-1 are weak, the 952, and 1242 cm-1 in middle, tyrosine, guanine at 650 cm-1. C=C deformation at 952 cm-1 , C-- N and C--C Stetching vibration of protein at 1125 cm-1, amide III at 1242 cm-1,and CH deformation at 1320 cm-1. Tyrosine at 1372 cm-1, CH2 deformation at 1459 cm-1.
