Four superficial phenomena and four deep causes of low sharing usage rate of valuable instrument and equipment in university were analyzed in this paper. Some useful attempts of improving sharing usage rate of valuable instrument and equipment were made in the aspects of perfecting management measures for management framework and personnel arrangements, and establishing technical guarantee measures for authorized usage platform to separate user and administrator, etc. Finally, four guarantee measures that would provide guidance for forming a long-term mechanism, were concluded.
