英文摘要：

This paper makes empirical research by referring, disposing and analyzing a great deal of statistics, on the basis of referring to Cui Yuping＇s （2000） methods of assessing the contribution of China＇s higher education towards economic growth. The findings of this paper are as follows： the higher education＇s contribution to the rate of economic increase in China is 3. 350%. As a consequence, we draw a conclusion that we should increase the investment in education, especially higher education and contribute more to the increase of economy in China.
