This article analyzed the land use trend of Jilin Province based on land use data from 1996 to 2009 and related social and economic statistic data.Results showed that the decrease of arable land area of Jilin Province did not impede the increase of gross yields of grains,and gross arable land and grain production were in a safe threshold;Construction land was expanded in a high speed,but its economic contribution rate was lower than the expansion rate of total construction land.Industrial structural upstage lagged behind the component ratio of land use,and urbanization level was higher than industrialization level.Therefore,government should set up related land use policies to further adjust the supply balance between arable land and construction land,so that improve land use efficiency.
