The physical processes and geometrical morphology of molten bridge between contacts were elaborated in this paper.The factors affecting the voltage and current of molten bridge were discussed.The physical mechanism and the evaluation method of material transfer between contacts were also analyzed.Research status, conclusions and prospects of molten bridge were discussed based on experimental studies and theoretical analysis.
