Internal organ size can reflect the situation of animal's growth and development, as well as physiological and ecological conditions, which is usually used as an approximate index to measure animal's adaptation in different environ- ments. The sexual and seasonal variations of body mass, snout-vent length (SVL), water content, relative fatness, wet and dry mass of internal organ of black-spotted pond frog (Pelophylax nigromaculata) were measured in summer and autumn, 2012, and spring 2013, respectively. The results were as follows: 1 ) the body mass and SVL of females were higher than in males and the highest value was observed in autumn. No sexual differences were observed between wet and dry mass of car- cass, and the wet mass rather than dry mass of carcass showed the highest value in summer. 2) No sexual differences were observed between water content and relative fatness. The water content of black-spotted pond frog in summer and spring was higher than in autumn, and the relative fatness in autumn was higher than in spring. The relative fatness of carcass and dry carcass of males were higher than females. The ratio of body mass to snout-vent length ( KWL ) of females was higher than males, and was higher in autumn than in spring. 3 ) The dry mass of lung of males was higher than females, whereas the dry mass of kidney of females was higher than males. Additionally, no sexual differences were found between any other internal organ wet and dry mass. The wet mass of lung rather than kidney in spring was higher than in summer and autumn. The dry muss of lung in spring was higher than in summer, and the dry mass of kidney in autumn was higher than in summer and spring, which was only observed in males rather than females. The wet mass of heart and spleen in summer was higher than in autumn and spring. No significant seasonal variations were observed in the dry mass of heart and spleen. The wet and dry mass of fat, liver, ovary and oviduct showed the highest values in autumn and the lowest
