ATP-binding cassette transporter family class C4（ABCC4） is known as a member of the ATP-binding cassette transporter super-family,involved in the active transport of endogenous anions and xenobiotic,which is not normally produced or expected to be present in human,such as antibiotics.Recently it has been found that the copy number variations of Abcc4 gene and overexpression of ABCC4 protein in many kinds of human cancers,which might involved in tumorigenesis,progress and chemotherapeutic response.This review will focus on the ectopic expression of Abcc4 in human cancer and the potential role of ABCC4 in tumorigenesis and progress.
