Based on the theory of reliability design and sensitivity analysis, reliability-based sensitivity design of the vehicle components was studied and its numerical method was presented. The regularities of variation in reliability sensitivity were obtained, and the effects of design parameters on the reliabili- ty of vehicle components were studied. The method presented in this paper provides theoretical basis for the reliability-based design of the vehicle components.
