Nanyue ancient town is one of the typical scenic marginal rural tourism spots of the famous Nanyue Hengshan Moun tain. The study of tourism environment changes of Nanyue ancient town has great important reference values for the environment protection of rural tourism spots around Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. Through the ecological, economic and socio-cultur al construction based on satisfaction comprehensive evaluation of the resident perception of the scenic marginal type rural tourism environment, the paper analyzed comprehensively the resident satisfaction and the environment changes factors to the tourism development of Nanyue ancient town. The research results showed that the satisfaction of Nanyue town residents to the tourism development is just general and there are positive and negative perceptions in ecological environment, economic environ- ment and socio-cultural environment. The specific performances are like the following. The improving the living and life environment, increasing job opportunities and deepening the resident benefit consciousness arc the positive effects. The declining of the natural environment quality, the serious rising of the price level and the conflict of the traditional culture and the development contradiction are the negative effects.
