This article introduced changes of each index of expansion pipe after expanding, and in detail analyzed reasons causing strength variation. Through comparison of the corresponding quality standard of ERW pipe with that of seamless pipe,it analyzed advantage of expansion pipe using ERW pipe. It pointed out ERW pipe possess many advantages. ERW pipe is much better than seamless pipe as expansion pipe based on expansion pipe technology requirements to steel pipes.
