Several typical non-cyanide gold leaching technologies which will be hopefully substituted for cyaniding process are reviewed. The research progress of thiosulfate method, thiourea method, bromination method and iodination method are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of the above methods are compared. The research status, gold leaching advantages and problems of the iodination method are reviewed emphatically.
