Four pairs of unbonded and bonded prestressed concrete beams are tested under low reversed cyclic loading to investigate seismic performance, such as ductility, energy dissipation capacity, displacement restoring capacity, failure patterns, etc. Studies have shown that unbonded prestressed concrete beam is better than bonded one in ductility (ductility factor is higher by 20% in average) and displacement restoring capacity. Bonded prestressed concrete beam is better than unbonded one in energy dissipation capacity (coefficient of viscous is higher by 29.2% in average). Bonded prestressed concrete beam is better in carrying capacity than unbonded one (carrying capacity is higher by 29.2% in average). The results would provide a reference for the design and application of prestressed concrete structures in different conditions.
