The spatial and temporal distribution of forestry resources and carbon in china is studied and the main elements influencing Chinese carbon sequestration potentiality under Clean Development Mechanism（CDM） are also analyzed.As an example,the carbon sequestration potentiality of Longtan forestry station in Jiangsu province is calculated according to the assessment model.The problems existing in carbon market development are summarized,and a policy innovation mechanism of forestry carbon market is proposed.
