The collective forest tenure reform in Jiangsu Province establishes clear responsibility with right forestry management system,which helps mobilize the broad masses of farmers make benefits and the active awareness of forest conservation.However,the woodland forest fragmentation after the reform has led to the emergence of new problems of forest fire.The paper analysized the status and causes of forest fires in Jiangsu evaluated the existing forest fire prevention measures in Jiangsu,proposed forest fire ecology supporting policy proposals for forest fire prevention such as the development of green fire planning,forest fire prevention responsibility system,farmers,forest fire insurance,modern monitoring system for forest fire prevention and management,in order to achieve the sustainable development and sustained economic growth of Jiangsu forestry.
