Steel truss arch bridge is a common structural style, and the structural stability is an important control factor in its design and construction process. The finite element method is used to analyze the structural strength of the super-spanned steel truss arch bridge near Nanfei River in all construction cases in order to ensure safety of the bridge. Furthermore, the stress of dangerous members subjected to pressure is calculated by using the stability theory. Thus the safety prediction and monitoring of the construction process are implemented. According to the computing results and the design code, a strengthening project for the members over allowable stress is proposed and used in the construction of the bridge, which will avoid the unstability of the bridge in the construction process.
