LUO Yan-xing （骆彦行） was born in Sichuan, China, in 1981. He received the B.S. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China （UESTC）. He is currently pursuing the M.S. degree with UESTC. His research interests include DSP hardware design and iris recognition systems. XIE Mei （解梅） received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UESTC in 1991 and 1996, respectively. She is now a professor with UESTC. Her research interests include digital signal processing, image processing, and computer networks. Her current technical interests include video compression, biology recognition, and wavelet analysis.
