In China,ultrasound screening of fetal abnormalities is usually performed at 20 to 24 weeks of gestation.Recent data suggest that many fetal abnormalities can be detected as early as 11 to 14 weeks of gestation.1 In this study,we applied standard ultrasound views to screen for fetal structural abnormalities during the first trimester and investigated the effectiveness of the standard ultrasound views in the detection of fetal abnormalities.
