Farm household model approach is used as a tool to analyze, at the micro-level, the impacts of changes of in macro and seetoral policy, and other external shocks on farm household＇s production, consumption and the market supply. The paper introduces the farm household model approach from theoretical and empirical perspeetives and sets up an implementable partial equilibrium model for the agricultural households to analyse the impacts of China＇s WTO accession. The model incorporates both production and consumption behaviors of farm households. The model differs form other simulation models in that it is based on mierosimilation.
