The weaning weight of the 3-month-old male lamb and ewe lamb of Luxi Blackhead sheep being tested were 32.58±3.21 kg and 30.78±3.03 kg,respectively.The weight of the 6-month-old ram and ewe being tested were 49.39±4.58 kg and 45.60±4.39 kg,reaching 48.05% and 59.39% of the adult weight,respectively.The weight of the 1-year-old ram and ewe being tested were 87.26±5.42 kg and 65.12 ± 6.46 kg,reaching 84.90% and 84.81% of the adult weight,respectively.The adult weight of the ram and the ewe being tested were 102.78±9.50 kg and 76.78±7.39 kg,respectively.The body height,body length,chest circumference and cannon circumference of the 1-yearold ram（ewe） could reach 88.24%（95.47%）,93.92%（95.04%）,92.92%（91.99%） and 91.59%（96.23%） of that of the adult,respectively.The body height and body length of the adult ram（ewe） being tested were 83.87±7.48 cm（70.41±4.41 cm） and 98.68±4.57 cm（88.49±5.38 cm）,respectively.On a whole,the body weight of Luxi Blackhead sheep showed a linear upward trend from birth to six months,and the growth trend of ram was stronger than that of ewe.The growth slowed down after 8months.Body sizes of ram displayed chest circumference,body length and body height in maturity order,and those of ewe displayed body height,body length and chest circumference in the same order.
