With the development of nano-science and technology, nanomaterials are playing a more important role in the field of tribology and lubrication. The properties of nano-sulphides are summarized and the new developments of their multicoating are introduced. The preparation techniques of nano-structured muhicoating are described. Also, the excellent tribological properties and the antiwear and antifriction mechanism of nano-sulphides and coatings are briefly presented. Finally, the research directions of nano-sulphides and their coatings are mentioned.
