道路交通问题日益严峻,智能交通系统(Intelligent Transportation System,ITS)应运而生。交通标志识别系统(Traffic Sign Recognition,TSR)是ITS的重要组成部分。TSR分为交通标志检测与识别两部分,检测效率的提高使得TSR整体性能提升,以达到提高交通运行速率,降低交通事故的发生。本文主要介绍交通标志检测部分,总结了国内外自上世纪70年代至今的研究成果,其中用到的方法包括了颜色检测、形状检测、神经网络等。并简要叙述了技术理论和难点,最后对交通标志检测方法现状进行总结及展望。
The problem of the road traffic is more and more serious, Intelligent Transportation System arises at the historic moment.Traffic sign recognition system is an important part of ITS, and its research has a very important practical value.TSR can be divided intotwo parts of detection and recognition, Detection efficiency will make TSR overall performance improvements, in order to improve theoperating speed of the traffic and reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents. This article introduces the traffic sign detection part,summarizes the domestic and foreign research results since the 7 0 's of last century, the methods used include color detecting, shapedetecting, neural network and so on. Based on the aboved, the paper briefly describes the technical theory and difficulties, and furtherlygives out a summary of the current situation of the traffic sign recognition system and the vision of the future.
