The core-shell structured nano-composite materials showing novel physical and chemical properties have received much attention because of their potential applications.The progress in the preparation and applications of the core-shell structured nano-composites is reviewed with respect to their applications in optics,catalysis,pharmacy and biology,photonic crystal,and superhydrophobic coating.The problems and solutions are given for future development of core-shell nanocomposite materials.
