高职教育在我国的高等教育系统中占据半壁江山,但学界对其在高等教育系统和社会系统中所发挥的功能的考察还不够深入。北京大学教育经济研究所2012年的高职调查数据,全景式呈现了高职生的社会来源、高中学习基础、升学选择以及进入高职院校后的期望、所受的职业教育经历和最终的职业选择的完整过程,并进一步指出,我国的高职院校同美国的社区学院类似,在高等教育大众化时代发挥着高等教育系统的"冷却"功能,积极地参与到了"社会再制"的过程;如何从高职教育入手打破社会阶层的固化,同样是一个值得深入研究的课题。
Nowadays, vocational education has taken half of the Chinese higher education, hut resear- ches fail to follow up. This paper uses data of a research carried out by Peking University's institute of Ed- ucation and Economy in 2012, which offers a panoramic view of students social origins, educational back- ground, expectations to higher vocational education and whole process of career selection. Result shows that Chinese vocational colleges are similar to American community colleges in cooling down the mass high-er education, and participating actively in the process of social reproduction.
