In the 21st century,with oil price rising and the Kyoto protocol to take effect,biomass energy development has got the attention of many countries in the world,which becomes the international hot spot in the field of renewable energy.Many countries have enacted for promoting the biomass energy industry development policies and regulations and formulated relevant development plans.The United States,the European Union,India and other countries are in a leading position in the world on development and utilization of biomass energy.This paper introduced the present situation of development of the rural biomass energy industry,and analyzed these countries policies and measures of promoting rural biomass energy industry development,in order to provide the rural biomass energy industry development enlightenment for China.
