英文摘要：

Regional study is~an important topic in many disciplines ineluding geography. It has a long history in economic geography,and has produced numerous progresses, especially in last 30 years. These progresses could be summarized into two major directions：one is the study on endogenous factors which motivate regional develop- ment under the background of the emergence of ＂new regionalism＂ , and it was based on the geographically compre- hensive perspective;the other is the study of the impacts of globalization on local development from a multi-scale perspective. However,most geographers ignore another important research perspective,namely regional interdepend- ence. With the deepening of globalization, production activities have become more and more specialized and flag- mented,which results in strengthened regional interdependence and interaction. In other words, regional interde- pendence has played an important role in regional development. In this trend,regional interdependence has a great significance for understanding regional developmental patterns and regional difference nowadays and it should be paid more attention in future geographical research.
