Fe、Al混合粉末经高能球磨后,在560—620℃进行低温烧结。结果表明,低温烧结温度对合金组织有明显的影响,经过12h球磨,在620℃烧结4h,可以得到超细晶FeAl金属间化合物。SEM、AFM和XRD的分析结果表明,晶粒均匀,呈等轴状,大小约为30nm左右。超细晶FeAl金属间化合物的显微硬度较低,断裂为韧窝断口,呈现塑性变形特征。
Ultrafine-crystalline FeAl intermetallics was produced by high-energy ball-milling, then low-temperature sintering at 560 - 620℃. The microstructure and phases of the FeAl alloy were identified by SEM, AFM and XRD methods, and the mechanical properties were investigated. The results show that nano-sized FeAl alloy is obtained after Fe,AI powders are ball-milled for 12h, then sintered at 620 ℃ for 4h. The microstructure of FeAl alloy exhibits homogeneous and equiaxial grains, with size being about 30nm. The plastic formability of the FeAl phase is enhanced by extending the ball-milled time and raising sintering temperature. The nano-sized FeAl alloy possesses lower micro- hardness and tough fracture, showing plastic deformation characteristic.
