By using a 2D anatomical model of the intake SA node and surrounding atrial muscle of the rabbit heart, which is proposed by Zhang et al, the effect of the alcohol on pacemaking and driving function of sinoatrail node is investigated by computer simulation. The results show, on one hand, excessive intake of the alcohol can reproduce the phenomenon of abnormal rhythm in heart with physiological defect, which are consistent with the clinical phenomena, such as abnormal pacemaking or even sudden cardiac death, which is induced by reduction of the ethanol irrigation stomach experiment on rabbit. On the other hand, using this model can simulate the influence of SA node which has the ethanol intake, and the influences perform in three aspects: reduce the electric conductivity of L calcium ion channels; reduce the ability to secrete acetylcholine of the nervous system; in excess intake of ethanol, reduce the electric conductivity of sodium channel. These three factors directly affect the pacemaking and driving function of sinoatrail node. These results will help to reveal the internal mechanism of the abnormal pacemaking in complex cardiac system absorbing the ethanol and provide a theoretical guidance for the clinical diagnosis of angiocardiopathy.
