The influence of transmit diversity （TD） on multi-user diversity of down links is studied under Rayleigh-lognormal composite channel model in the distributed mobile communication system. It is found that the average throughput of scheduling based on maximum ratio transmit （MRC） is nearly equal to that of scheduling based on selection transmit diversity （STD）. This result shows that scheduling based on riD can not improve the average throughput of the distributed mobile communication system effectively.
