A block coding scheme is proposed in Multiple-input multiple-output and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （MIMO-OFDM） systems by combining the advantages of STBC and VBLAST. At the transmitter, the data stream is partitioned into two groups which are block encoded and OFDM modulated. At the receiver, MMSE method can be employed. The block coding symbols are transmitted decussately through different antenna groups after blocking by layers, then, there are some in- terleaving effects between the data flows so as to get better diversity gain.
