The paper describes the feasibility for library to use WeChat to provide services based on the characteristics of WeChat, and then makes a survey of the WeChat platforms of Project 211 or Project 985 agricultural and forestry university libraries from the aspects of account body, authentication and types, analyzes the results and gets some experiences. Taking Northeast Agricultural University Library as an example, the author discusses on how to design the system and realize each function. At last, the paper points out that with the development of technology, the platforms should be improved in functions, demand services, content construction and user interaction, aiming at increasing their efficiency and achieving the aim of the WeChat public platforms.
