Knowledge workers' creativityisthe importantcornerstone of successful organizations. Researchers havepaid a lot of attention onfactors that predict knowledgeworkers' creativity. We examine the effect of goal orientationonknowledge workers' creativity, and the mediating effectofjob-related feelings in the relationship between goalorientation and creativity. Based a survey conducted among395 dyads ofknowledge workers and their supervisors indiversified industries, we find that employee's mastery-approach goal orientation, mastery-avoidance goal orientation,performance-approach goal orientation have significant positiveimpact on creativity; job-related feelings of anxiety mediatesthe relationship between employee's mastery-avoidancegoal orientation, performance-approach goal orientation andcreativity.
