Some further characterizations for abundant semigroups with left simplistic adequate transversals are obtained. The related results of Blyth and Almeida Santos on left simplistic inverse transversals obtained in 1996 and the authors on adequate transversals ob- tained in 2008 and 2010 respectively are generalized and amplified. The structure of abundant semigroups with left simplistic S-adequate transversals is also established.
