The paper builds a micro-analytical framework for the choice of settlement currency from the perspective of exporter-expected profit maximization.The results show that,in addition to political and economic stability,currency convertibility and development level of foreign exchange market,price elasticity of demand and exchange rate volatility also play a key role that affect the choice of settlement currency.
