The four differnt molecular strructures of PFPE and two synthesis methods （photocatalytic polymerization and anion polymerization ）were introduced, especially anion polymerization made from hexafluoroprolene oxide. The degree of polymerization depends on the catalyst system and the reaction conditions. The performance and application of PFPE were also introduced.
