National defense students are outstanding talents who are selected from local colleges and universities and cultivated as national armies. We must grasp the characteristics of national defense students＇ ideological trends under the open environment and strive to effectively implement ideological education for them. This paper will analyze the characteristics of national defense students＇ ideological trends under the open environment, and discuss the methods of ideological education for national defense students.
